HEARTSAVER CPR / AED
Attendees:
This course is designed for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of their job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. This is typically for non-professional healthcare providers who want to learn Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).
Course Content:
Adult/Child CPR for non-professional healthcare providers with skills verification. A written exam is not required for this course, only a skills test is given at the end of class.
Certification earned:
Heartsaver CPR & AED. Completion of this course leads to the trainee being certified for two years in accordance with the American Heart Association's guidelines. A fully validated certification card is issued to all attendees at the the end of the course.

HEARTSAVER FIRST AID /CPR/AED

Course Content:

Understanding the priorities, roles, and responsibilities of the first aid rescuer

Know the key steps in first aid

How to identify the problem

Learn to assess and initiate the actions necessary to respond to life threatening condidtions such as: Heart Attack, difficulty breathing choking, severe bleeding, shock and stroke.

Use an epinephrine pen

Recognize elements of injuries and illnesses
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.

This course is for the general public and anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a certification in First Aid, CPR and AED use to meet job or other requirements. For example: School Teachers, Personal Trainers, Aids, Nannies, Babysitters, etc.

Upon completion of this course, the American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED card is issued. The certification card is valid for two years.
